Privacy policy
Last updated: 10 October 2026 · Policy pages are currently available in English.
Reader accounts, favourites and comments
Creating a reader account stores your username, display name, a salted password hash and creation date. We do not request an email address for reader registration. Your favourites are private to your account. Comments and their language, submission date and moderation status are stored for review; approved comments and your display name are public. Pending and rejected comments are visible only to you and the administrator. You can remove your comments, change your password or delete your account and its favourites, comments and sessions from Account settings. Data remains while the account exists unless removed earlier; restricted backup copies may persist until the deployment backup retention period expires. There is no email password-recovery service.
What we collect
You can read our public pages without creating an account. If you use the contact form, we store your name, email address, message and submission date so the editorial team can read and respond to it. Do not send passwords, payment information or sensitive personal details.
Site performance measurements
The site records LCP, INP and CLS browser measurements, including viewport-based mobile or desktop grouping, and retains individual samples for up to 35 days by page path to monitor loading, responsiveness and layout stability. These measurements do not include a reader name or IP address in the stored records.
Cookies and local storage
The di-theme preference in local storage remembers your selected dark or light appearance until you clear site data. The di-walkthrough-v1 preference in your browser’s local storage remembers that you started or dismissed the optional website guide; it stays until you clear site data and is not sent to a third party. You can restart the guide with the question-mark button in the header. The di-language cookie remembers your selected language for up to one year. The di-reader cookie is an HttpOnly reader sign-in cookie that lasts up to seven days and is removed on sign out. The di-admin cookie is a necessary, HttpOnly sign-in cookie for administrators and expires after eight hours. No advertising scripts are active in this version of the site. A small first-party page-view counter stores aggregate daily path counts for the private admin dashboard. It does not store IP addresses, account IDs, or a cross-site identifier. Your browser uses session storage to avoid recounting the same page repeatedly in one session.
Processing, storage and retention
Contact messages are held in the website database and can be read only by the signed-in administrator. Messages older than 90 days are deleted when the inbox or contact form is used; the owner may delete them sooner. Authentication attempts are rate limited. Expired rate-limit records and sessions are removed during subsequent use. Hosting providers may process request logs, including IP addresses, for delivery and security; their retention depends on the deployed hosting configuration.
Third parties and advertising
We do not sell contact messages or use them for marketing. External links are governed by the linked site’s policies. If Google advertising is enabled later, this policy must be updated before activation: Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or other identifiers to deliver, measure and personalize ads. Applicable consent and opt-out controls must be configured before those scripts run.
Your choices
You can change the site language at any time or clear cookies through your browser. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of a message you submitted. We may need information to verify the request. Additional rights depend on your location.
Children and updates
The publication is intended for a general audience; the contact form is not intended to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us for removal. We update this page when our processing changes.
